Art is not just about art. Visual, musical, performing and literary art has long been our method of recording history, conveying thought and evoking change in paradigms and, yes, sometimes it is simply our method of conveying creativity and beauty. Art is a conduit, a common meeting ground upon which social change and growth can be planted and nurtured. The arts have been substantiated and proven to have a direct effect upon the ability of a child to better develop his or her skills in other educational disciplines, from mathematics to psychology. Because we are a proponent of social entrepreneurship, we will continue to develop opportunities on a national level that will support artists, for-profit and non-profit organizations in meeting their creative objectives.
